About us

Samantha T. Alfonso, Esq.

Samantha Alfonso served as a law clerk/intern for the Fourth District Court of Appeals, Florida, and then for the Probate Court of Morris County, New Jersey. After joining James at their prior firm based in Summit, New Jersey, Sam spent 5 years focusing on Land Use and Zoning. Since passing the Florida Bar in 2017, and returning home to relocate closer to her family, she has worked with Jim, passing the New Jersey bar in 2018 and spending the years since practicing land use law from Short Hills to Mendham, from South Orange to New Providence, all the while continuing her established Guardianship, Trust and Estate Administration practice in Morris and Union Counties.

In her personal time, Sam enjoys spending time with her two pups, Khufu (a yorkiepoo) and Murphy (an aussiedoodle), as well as her large family, in particular, her parents, siblings, and her young nephew Quentin (“the light of her life”). Sam loves the outdoors, whether that be reading by the pool, hiking in upstate New York, or camping on cross-country trips to California. She is a podcast devotee and loves staying abreast of the most recent worldly developments. She has been involved with a number of charities, including the Calais School Foundation, of which she is a Trustee, and generally loves to give back to the community.

James G. Webber, Esq.

James Webber began his career as law clerk to the Honorable Milton A. Feller, J.S.C., Superior Court of New Jersey. He joined the New Jersey bar in 1984 and has spent the intervening 38 years building a wealth of knowledge and experience in land use and litigation, from municipal court to federal court, from Ringoes to Harding, from Newark to Tewksbury, from farmers to multi-national corporations, from institutions to developers.

James has gone from being a paramedic in his hometown of Elizabeth, where he met his wife Debbie, to being a father of 4, to being a lawyer, to being a basketball coach and a soccer coach, to being an outdoorsman, a swimmer, sailor, fisherman and hiker, all through the grace of God and his fellow travelers. He has been blessed with having a life of service (for which, though, as a lawyer, there is a modest fee).
